Financial Planning & Analysis £50,000-£55,000 plus 20% bonus Watford
My client is a leading financial services house with an AUM of around £4bn.
A new role has been created for an FP&A Analyst, reporting to the Head of FP&A, to help build out the rapidly evolving FP&A capability, increase the value and commerciality of insights provided to management across the business, and drive forward-looking business decision making and automation of management reporting.
This is a really attractive role – as it’s a combination of:
1. Building/running a high-quality data-led FP&A capability.
2. Helping drive the Finance digital transformation program.
This role will likely suit a capable and technically strong FP&A Analyst, looking to make their mark at an ambitious and growing financial services firm.
* Managing and producing monthly reporting packs to meet business and group reporting needs.
* Driving the FP&A month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
* Coordinating and finalising high-quality monthly CFO review decks and management information (MI) packs.
* Supporting in developing quarterly and annual budgets and a 5-year plan.
* Assisting in building and maintaining complex financial models.
* Supporting the Senior Manager in digital transformation projects to embed greater use of data analytics and automation across the Finance Department.
* Identifying and delivering process improvements that add value.
* Applying FP&A best practices, including financial modelling, trend analysis, data combination, and reporting.
* Ideally, experience in a bank or specialist lending business, with an understanding of key business dynamics and metrics. Experience of securitization would be an advantage.
* Analytical and hands-on by nature, comfortable building complex models but with an emphasis on automation where possible.
* Keen to build a highly visible capability at an ambitious firm.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Part or fully qualified accountant.
* Proficient with business intelligence and data visualisation tools to manipulate large data sets.
* Strong technological literacy and modelling skills.
The suitable candidate should demonstrate the following attributes:
* Highly numerate and articulate.
* Driven and enjoys building and developing teams.
* Robust and comfortable working to deadlines and under pressure.
* Persuasive.
* Flexible, calm, and self-assured.
