Key Responsibilities of the CNC Miller:
Reading engineering drawings, blueprints and process sheets
Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC milling equipment
Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze
Downloading programs from DNC systems and editing/writing CNC programs where needed
Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup time and boost throughput
Performing precision inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards
Completing finishing tasks including polishing, filing, blending and assembling components
Preparing finished parts for shipment (cleaning, oiling, wrapping, boxing)

What You’ll Bring:
Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years’ CNC machining experience in a lean manufacturing environment
Strong milling experience on multi-axis machines or experience with rotary table grinders, CNC table grinders, or 5-axis CNC grinders
Ability to work with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain or Haas
Confidence holding ultra-tight tolerances (<0.0025mm)
Skilled with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
Background in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar industries (ideal)
