Please specify which one you are applying for in the supporting statement About the Role : ACE is a Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)–certified regional adoption agency supporting families across Coventry, Herefordshire, Solihull, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Our practice is rooted in the principles of connection, relationship, and emotional safety. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a key role in nurturing strong, trusting relationships with our adoptive families. We value the power of empathy and attunement, ensuring each family feels heard, understood, and supported in a way that honours their lived experience. You will contribute to delivering a high‑quality, relational support service by: Offering advice and guidance grounded in therapeutic parenting approaches Promoting and modelling a PACE‑led ethos (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) Facilitating groups, workshops, and opportunities that bring families together Running support groups for parents, children, and young people Providing training alongside team members to strengthen families’ understanding of their children’s needs Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic and responsive support experience This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about strengthening families, believes in trauma‑informed practice, and is eager to grow and develop within a supportive team. Key Requirements : We are looking for someone who: Has experience of running groups for children and young people Brings warmth, curiosity, and a reflective approach to their work Is willing to embrace the principles of Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) Experience of theraplay training Is committed to developing their understanding of therapeutic parenting Can build trusted relationships with adoptive parents, colleagues, and professionals Is enthusiastic about contributing to a compassionate, relationship‑focused service Training and ongoing development in DDP and PACE will be provided.
