Product Pricing Manager – EU Commercial
Purpose of the role:
The Product Pricing Manager will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimising the pricing strategy across our entire product and service portfolio. This role bridges the gap between the commercial, finance, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing. You will lead the pricing process from quote generation through to financial modelling and post-launch analysis, providing vital support to the sales and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to reflect true cost-to-serve and margin.
* Prepare and review accurate customer quotes and tenders, ensuring consistency with internal costings and strategic pricing guidelines.
* Work closely with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Technical teams to gather accurate cost data, including raw materials, labour, packaging, and overheads.
* Analyse pricing performance by customer, product line, and market segment to identify profitability trends and optimisation opportunities.
* Monitor trends, competitor pricing, and market dynamics to support strategic pricing.
* Ensure pricing structures comply with regulatory requirements and customer agreements.
* Assist in new product introduction (NPI) pricing models and financial viability assessments.
* Provide support and insights for commercial negotiations and renewals.
* Lead pricing governance processes including documentation, version control, and audit trails.
* Produce regular pricing reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
* 5 years' experience in pricing, commercial finance, product costing, or margin analysis.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
* A relevant professional qualification (or part-qualified) such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of cost accounting, margin analysis, and financial modelling.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling).
* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics) and pricing/quoting tools.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in pricing, commercial finance, or product costing, ideally within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, or contract manufacturing environments.
* Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
* Experience with pricing software or BI tools is a plus.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Commercial acumen and an understanding of margin management.
* Experience in cross-functional collaboration with sales, finance, and production teams.
* Knowledge of cost accounting, product BOMs, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.

Salary:
Competitive, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Hours of work:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours between 07:00 and 17:45, with early finishes on Fridays, and 30 minutes for lunch.
Location:
Runcorn, Cheshire, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model: 3 days per week office-based, 2 days per week remote.
