As the Business Manager – Outsource Services, you’ll take the reins in managing high-performing outsource service providers for Child Care Grant Payments Service “CCGPS”; Contact Centre Service and Disabled Students Allowance “DSA” ensuring an outstanding service for our customers. Leading a team of dedicated outsource service managers, you will drive operational excellence, oversee contractual performance, and maintain tight financial control. Working cross-functionally across Customer Operations and the wider SLC business, you’ll be a key player in delivering a seamless, secure, and customer-first experience—firmly aligned with our Contractual Service Management model. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. What you bring: Proven Leadership experience in mobilising new contracts and managing established partnerships, with a focus on high-value, complex service models - ideally within business process Outsourcing (BPO) space. Confident knowledge of commercial contract management, ideally within the public sector, including budget oversight and supplier invoice auditing. Proven ability to build strong, influential relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Skilled in interpreting performance data and using root cause analysis to drive informed service improvements. Effective self-starter with strong planning, organisational, and adaptability skills in fast-changing environments. Experienced in coaching teams, modelling professional behaviours, and developing talent to enhance service delivery. Confident in preparing and delivering performance reports and strategic decision papers to senior and external stakeholders. You can expect more from a career with SLC.
