Job Title: Development and Automation Leader
Location: Wherstead Park, Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, Hybrid working (Min 3 days per week in Office)
Reporting to: Head of Process & Technology Improvement
Team: Technology

About the Role:
Are you excited by the power of automation and passionate about improving the way businesses work? We’re looking for an experienced Development and Automation Leader to join our Technology Team at East of England Co-op.

This is a pivotal role where you'll lead the design and implementation of smart automation solutions using cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Power Platform and iPaaS. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and improve our internal systems, drive efficiency, and support teams across the organisation.

Based at Wherstead Park, Ipswich (with hybrid working available, 3 days in the office),, this is your chance to help transform how we operate and deliver value to our customers and colleagues alike.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and develop a team of Automation Developers and Technical Business Partners.
Deliver impactful automation projects using Microsoft Power Platform and Workato.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
Drive continuous improvement by monitoring and optimising existing automations.
Provide clear reporting on automation performance and value delivered.

What You’ll Need:
Proven leadership in automation and development teams.
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages).
Experience delivering successful automation projects end-to-end.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
Familiarity with system integration and process design.
Project management experience (PRINCE2, Agile) and a relevant technical degree are desirable.
