The AtkinsRéalis Landscape Practice is an award‑winning leading UK‑based design practice that delivers excellence in all we do. Our team of 80 Landscape Architects works throughout the UK and internationally. We specialise across key sectors such as Urban Regeneration, Active Travel, Green and Blue Infrastructure, Flood Alleviation, Masterplanning, Education, Aviation, Commercial, Defence, Transport, Retrofit and Residential, providing integrated nature‑based solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
We are looking to recruit a Landscape Architect to grow our team in the Northern Ireland region, with a vacancy based in our Belfast office. If you have post‑graduation practice experience (NT1 relevant experience) and are on your chartership journey, we’d love to hear from you. This role offers a wide variety of experience and an excellent opportunity for career progression. You will take an active role on challenging design projects, collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, and contribute to sustainable, impactful designs.
We support a flexible working pattern, typically three days in the office with the remainder of the week working from home. We also offer options such as reduced weeks or additional leave over school holidays, and support for those returning from a career break.
Your Role
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Support design projects from feasibility through to detail design.
* Apply understanding of urban design and urban planning (desirable).
* Apply GIS skills – ArcGIS and/or QGIS (desirable).
* Understand principles of SuDS (desirable).
* Planting knowledge (desirable but not essential).
* Understanding of LVIA (desirable but not essential).
* Produce report writing, contract documentation and assist with site supervision.
* Demonstrate technical knowledge, high‑quality presentation and communication skills.
* Familiarity with working in a quality assurance environment (desirable).
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software; explore use of Revit, SketchUp and Enscape for design and presentation.
* Value hand drawing communication.
About You
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in English and the ability to produce high‑quality reports.
* Design flair and an inquisitive approach to support project delivery from feasibility to construction.
* Show initiative, strong presentation and communication skills, and confidence in site surveys, technical reports, and designs.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Confident team worker, able to work with limited supervision.
* Willingness to work both locally and nationally, with flexibility for travel and location as required.
* Hold a full valid driving licence and live within a reasonable distance to one of our offices (Northern Ireland and Ireland site visits required).

Security Clearance
This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
