About Autism Plus Autism Plus are a leading Yorkshire Charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs. In 1986 the Charity was created by a group of parents looking for the very best support for their children who were about to leave a specialist school. Once they reached the age of 17, they found there was little or no support. The belief set by our founding parents, to empower more people to live independent, fulfilling lives remains our focus today. We employ over 350 people across the north of England in care support services, employment support and social enterprise businesses. About the Role: Hours: Bank - flexible Location: Windross Square, Easingwold Responsibilities: Serve customers in the shop and cafe, providing excellent customer service. Handle cash transactions and operate the till. Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages. Support trainees in their day to day tasks, providing guidance and encouragement. Maintain cleanliness. Restock shelves and manage inventory as needed. Cover weekend shifts and be available to cover annual leave and sickness as required. Requirements: Previous retail or cafe experience is preferred but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and patient attitude, with a passion for helping others. Ability to work weekends and cover shifts for annual leave and sickness. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Flexibility and willingness to learn.
