Production Support Analyst Location: London Step into the heart of one of the world's most sophisticated multi‑strategy investment firms - a company where technology, engineering excellence, and front‑office collaboration power global trading at scale. Our client is seeking a Production Support Analyst to join a mission‑critical engineering team that sits directly alongside Portfolio Managers, Traders, Quants, and Application Engineering groups. This is not a back‑office role. You will be front and centre in the trading ecosystem, supporting and enhancing the real‑time platforms that drive investment decisions, risk management, and systematic trading strategies. If you thrive in high‑pressure, high‑impact environments and want to work at the core of a fast‑moving trading organisation, this is your chance. In this role, you'll combine deep technical problem‑solving with engineering ownership - shaping automation, improving reliability, and delivering solutions that materially impact performance, latency, and trading continuity across the firm's global platform. Key Responsibilities Support, troubleshoot, and optimise Linux‑based trading and research platforms in a high‑availability, latency‑sensitive environment. Work directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Quants, and Developers to ensure seamless operation of trading systems and rapid issue resolution. Build, enhance, and automate operational workflows and tooling using Bash/Python, reducing manual effort and improving reliability. Own production issues end‑to‑end across Linux, networking, compute clusters, and virtualised environments, ensuring long‑term resilience. Lead root‑cause investigations, deliver permanent fixes, and drive continuous improvement across mission‑critical systems. Contribute to monitoring, observability, and engineering initiatives that scale with the firm's rapid growth. Key Requirements Strong experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky). Hands‑on knowledge of Bash, automation tooling, and server provisioning. Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Confident troubleshooting production incidents in real time and managing escalations. Curious, proactive, and motivated by solving large‑scale infrastructure challenges in a front‑office, high‑pressure, high‑ownership environment.
