Salary: £72,800 - 83,200 per year Requirements:
* Experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
* Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.
* Strong analytical skills with a passion for using data to drive change.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Experience working within local government is essential.
* Desirable: Knowledge of data protection and information governance principles.
* Desirable: Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Power Platform).
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support council services and strategic decision-making.
* Work closely with service areas to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
* Build and maintain robust data models using BI tools, specifically Power BI.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.
* Collaborate with analysts, data officers, and IT colleagues across the council to support data-led transformation.
