Overview
Rotational Pharmacist Band 6&7 Step Up programme at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our friendly department. You will receive excellent support and training from our senior pharmacists to develop your clinical leadership and future career.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional pharmaceutical services, including reviewing prescriptions, dispensing, aseptic preparation, and clinical pharmacy services in all areas of the department on a rotational basis.
* Supervise or provide professional support to trainee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and support staff.
* Manage activities where appropriate, under the supervision of the Senior Pharmacist in each area of activity.
* Undertake postgraduate clinical training such as the diploma in clinical pharmacy and/or independent prescribing.
Rotations
* Band 6: Paediatrics, Acute Medicine, Total Parenteral Nutrition (pharmacy aseptics), General Surgery, Cardiac Services, Respiratory Medicine, Stroke, Elderly care, Medicines Information.
* Band 7: Trauma and Orthopaedics, Diabetes, General Medicine, Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology/Surgery, Renal, Cytotoxics & Oncology (pharmacy aseptics).
Eligibility and Banding
* Candidates with suitable hospital experience may be recruited at Band 7.
* Applications welcome from community pharmacists, newly qualified pharmacists and pharmacists already working in a hospital setting.
