Job Summary
Westrop Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to fulfil a role within our expanding busy reception team at Tadpole Surgery. This role involves daily face‑to‑face and telephone contact with patients, arranging appointments and following up on patient‑related tasks. The practice aims to develop the role by offering further training to the right candidate to support and navigate patients to the most appropriate care for their needs.
This position is ideal for an applicant with previous experience in a primary care setting who is interested in maintaining excellent patient relationships. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and computer literacy skills are essential.

It is part of the Brunel Health Group, the largest primary care research group across the South West of England. Our goal is to offer the highest standard of patient‑centred healthcare through convenient appointments and friendly, supportive staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Face‑to‑face and telephone reception duties at the front desk.
* Arrange, book and update patient appointments.
* Handle high‑volume phone calls from patients, doctors and hospital departments.
* Liaise with patients, doctors and hospital departments.
* Provide administrative support to the practice.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
* Work additional and flexible hours as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of face‑to‑face customer service, telephone call handling and using computer systems.
* High attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Flexible, proactive approach and able to work independently.
* Team player and previous reception/customer service experience.
* Experience working in a GP practice (desirable).
Salary and Working Hours
£13.08 per hour; permanent, full‑time position; 37 hours per week.
