Monarch Education are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Northfield, Birmingham, who are seeking a confident and adaptable Full‑Time Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This role will run until at least the end of the 2027 academic year, with potential for extension. About the Role This is a school‑wide support position, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and can confidently work across all year groups from Early Years to Year 6. You will be providing in class support, assisting with small group interventions and occasionally stepping in to cover sessions when required. Key responsibilities include: Supporting teaching and learning across multiple year groups Providing 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils of varying ability levels Assisting with classroom management and general resource preparation Covering classes or groups where needed (work will be pre‑set) Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment The school is seeking someone who is: Confident, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different age groups Passionate about supporting children's learning and development Able to build positive rapport with pupils and staff Reliable, proactive, and happy to take initiative Experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable, but strong transferable skills and the right attitude will also be considered.
