Key Responsibilities:
We're on the hunt for a bold, commercially sharp leader to take Mooncup to the next level. As Head of Retail, you'll spearhead our expansion across grocery, pharmacy, and wholesale channels in the UK and beyond.
This isn't just another sales role, it's an executive leadership opportunity at the heart of a pioneering, mission-driven brand. You'll be building a brand-new department from the ground up, shaping and owning our retail strategy, and leading Mooncup into its next phase of growth. You will have the chance to craft and execute a vision that will define how millions of people encounter Mooncup worldwide. You will build your team, design your playbooks and lead the charge in driving revenue and market share within the retail landscape working alongside a passionate leadership team who are rewriting the rules in sustainable personal care.
Sales Strategy and Leadership:
* Own and continuously refine the sales strategy to deliver against ambitious retail and wholesale plans.
* Build and manage commercial plans across grocery, drugstore, pharmacy, wholesale, and other retail outlets.
* Lead forecasting, sales performance analysis, and full P&L management for all retail and wholesale activity.
* Develop annual budgets and performance metrics; ensure tracking, and target delivery.
* Lead all commercial negotiations and joint business planning with key accounts.
* Collaborate closely with marketing on bespoke trade plans and in-store activations to drive visibility and sell-through.
Account Management:
* Act as the strategic lead for all Mooncup accounts (national and key), nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with buyers to ensure range extensions, store expansions and NPD opportunities.
* Own trade spend and promotional planning to maximise ROI whilst ensuring financial health.
* Analyse market data, category trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy and unlock growth, sharing this with retailers.
* Ensure excellent customer experience, account health, and consistent brand standards across all partners.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Ensure product and stock compliance across our retail footprint.
* Work closely with Operations and Finance to align on forecasting, promotional budgets, and profitability.
* Support Product and Brand by delivering timely market, category, and buyer feedback to inform innovation and marketing strategies.
About You:
* 5+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles within FMCG.
* Proven success managing national and key UK retail accounts, with strong buyer relationships and commercial acumen.
* Analytical, data-driven, and confident in navigating P&Ls, forecasts, and category performance.
* Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with experience in fast-growth and high-performance environments.
* Exceptional communicator and negotiator; collaborative and solutions-focused.
* You must have a genuine passion for our mission - we are looking for someone with a commercial head but an activist's heart, who can demonstrate their passion for health equity, sustainability, menstrual and women's health.
