The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and departmental needs. Key Responsibilities * Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and stimulating Art lessons that inspire students and promote progress. * Teach across multiple key stages, ensuring work is appropriately challenging and accessible to all learners. * Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates creativity, cultural diversity, and individual artistic expression. * Contribute to developing schemes of work, curriculum enrichment, and whole-school creative initiatives. * Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing effective feedback to support learning and attainment. * Manage and organise Art resources, studio spaces, and displays to maintain an inspiring learning environment. * Participate in departmental meetings, school events, open evenings, and extracurricular activities such as Art clubs or exhibitions. * Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement, and engagement in line with school policies. Person Specification Essential: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completion of QTS. * A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, or a related creative discipline. * A strong understanding of Art techniques, media, and processes. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities and backgrounds. * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
