Academics are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers and PPA / Cover Staff to work in schools across the Portsmouth area. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day assignments or a more consistent long-term role, we have a variety of opportunities to suit your preferences.
As a Primary Supply Teacher or PPA Cover Staff, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons, managing classrooms effectively, and ensuring students thrive academically. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of schools in the Portsmouth area, helping to create positive and dynamic learning environments.
Primary Supply Teachers and PPA Cover Staff Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to primary-aged students in the absence of the class teacher.
* Provide PPA cover and maintain high-quality teaching standards across year groups.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
* Build strong relationships with students and staff across different schools.
* Adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Ensure classroom resources are used effectively to enhance the learning experience.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and positive school environment, following safeguarding policies.
To be considered to join our team of Primary Supply Teachers you must:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Be experienced in teaching across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
* Have good classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in lessons.
* Ensure flexibility to adapt to new school settings and year groups.
* Show commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering student success.
* Live locally to Portsmouth or be willing to commute.
