This is a replacement full-time post to support the provision and development of acute paediatric services West Wales. With an interest in paediatric neurology, neurodisability and epilepsy, you will join colleagues in a very dynamic and forward‑looking General Paediatrics department. The neonatal service has merged across the units in the 3 counties to enable BAPM standards are met, and provide ongoing paediatric training. The SCBU plays its part in the South Wales Neonatal network.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the development and delivery of a high quality paediatric services in the South West Wales region.
* Working on a sessional allocation of a maximum of 10 PA's with 8 DCC and 2 SPAs.
* Covering 1:12 consultant of the ward week covering acute paediatrics and SCBU, safeguarding medical referrals.
* On‑call cover on split weekends 1 in 8 specific to this job, based at Glangwili Hospital.
* Clinic duties: a general clinic and 2 sub‑specialist interest clinics per week as agreed within your job plan.
* Supporting on‑call cover and Consultant of the Week duties, overseeing PACU, Ward, HDU and SCBU care for children and young people.

* Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services.
* Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
