EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 2 Hours: 32.5 hours per week Contract: Fixed Term until July 2026 Term time 5 days Grade: D (point 6-11) Actual Salary 18,941.00- 20,510.00 The Headteacher and Governors of Pikes Lane Primary are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our early years team. This is a fixed-term position until July 2026, working 32.5 hours per week during term time. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider EYFS team to support children s learning, development and wellbeing, both in the classroom and through play-based provision. Key Responsibilities: Support children s learning in line with the EYFS framework Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and engagement Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment Assist with observations, assessments and record keeping Support children s personal, social and emotional development Uphold safeguarding and welfare requirements at all times We are looking for someone who: Holds a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning / Early Years (or equivalent) Has experience of working with children in an EYFS setting Is nurturing, patient and enthusiastic about early childhood education Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children We offer: A supportive and welcoming team Opportunities to develop skills and experience within EYFS A rewarding role making a real difference to young children s learning How to apply: Applications for this post are by the Bolton Council application form and personal statement on no more than two sides of A4, detailing how you meet the criteria.
