Job Title: Senior Domiciliary Carer (Temp-Perm)

Salary: £13.50/hour
Hours 37.5 hours/Week
Our client is a family-owned business that has been established for over 7 years and is passionate about providing the right care to their clients.
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly organised Senior Domiciliary Carer to join their care team. This role combines hands-on care with key administrative duties, supporting both service users and the wider care team to deliver exceptional home-based care.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care to clients in their own homes while also supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, scheduling, and team coordination.
Responsibilities for the Senior Domiciliary Carer role include:
* Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
* Support clients with daily tasks including personal hygiene, mobility, medication, nutrition, and companionship.
* Act as a senior point of contact for carers and respond to any immediate concerns in the field.
* Mentor and support junior carers, including assisting with inductions and shadowing.
* Monitor client well-being and report any changes in condition to management.
* Assist with rota planning and staff scheduling to ensure adequate care coverage
* Maintain accurate care records and update care plans as needed.
* Handle telephone and email queries from carers, clients, and family members.
* Support compliance with CQC regulations by maintaining documentation and audits.
* Help with training coordination, supervision, and performance reviews.
* Carry out spot checks and service user reviews.
Candidates applying for the Senior Domiciliary Carer role will need:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in domiciliary/home care.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Be available to work shifts and weekends on a rota
* Confident using digital systems (care software, Microsoft Office, etc..).
* Ability to lead a team and act under pressure.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* Experience in scheduling or administrative support within care.
* Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
* Previous experience as a senior carer/team leader
