An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Critical Care team as a Band 5 Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Withybush Hospital. The vacancy is full time and covers days, nights and weekend working. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality, compassionate care to acutely ill patients, in a fast-paced, specialist environment, supported by experienced colleagues and a strong multidisciplinary team.
The successful applicant will be fully supported whilst gaining experience in the care of critically ill patients undergoing a variety of critical care interventions.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to acutely ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
* Work as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care.
* Demonstrate evidence-based practice and be proactive in managing change.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues; contribute to a patient-centered approach.
* Be prepared to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach in critical care.
* Engage in ongoing development of clinical skills in critical care nursing.
Qualifications and requirements
* The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Critical Care Nursing, but this is not essential; a willingness to develop skills further is required.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
