Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and highly motivated Web and Communications Co-ordinator (maternity cover) to join the Communications Team at the University of Oxford's prestigious Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. This role is also open for secondment to those already working at the University. About the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences: The Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences is a world-leading centre for research and training in primary care. We conduct cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research aimed at rethinking and improving the way healthcare is delivered in general practice and other community settings, both in the UK and internationally. Our research covers a wide range of issues including disease prevention, early diagnosis, management of chronic illnesses, patient experiences, and digital health interventions. Our team is comprised of internationally renowned scientists, many of whom are practicing GPs. We foster a strong multi-disciplinary training environment and collaborate with other epidemiological and community-based research groups across the University of Oxford. The department is home to several influential groups and centres, such as the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, the Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group, and the Health Experiences Research Group. We are also actively involved in the NIHR School of Primary Care Research, NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Oxford and Thames Valley, and the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centres. About the Role: As an integral member of our Communications Team, you will help drive forward a wide array of communications and engagement initiatives. Collaborating closely with colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and coordinating our communication activities. While maintaining a strong focus on overseeing the department's website and communication systems, you will also support the development and implementation of innovative communications strategies aligned with departmental goals. Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a good level of general education (A level or equivalent), demonstrable experience in professional communications (print and digital), excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal abilities, competency in computer-based applications, and the ability to work independently. Experience in web-based systems, large organisations and/or higher education is desirable. We are dedicated to the continuous professional development of our team members.
