Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager specialising in Logistics to join our team in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, contract negotiation, delivery and governance. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail to manage and optimize contracts within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with logistics providers to ensure the best terms and services.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Implement governance frameworks to oversee contract management processes, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, operations, and legal to align contract management strategies with business objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of contracts to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all contract documents and correspondence.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on contract management and governance procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and contract management to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate smooth contract execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in logistics, ideally within regulated transport
- Strong understanding of contract law and governance frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
