Overview
Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - Radcliffe. Permanent opportunity.
To ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment and machinery by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs, along with fast and effective response to equipment break downs.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
* Complete ad hoc repairs to various mechanical equipment
* Maintenance of pneumatics, motors, gearboxes and pumps
* Prioritising workload throughout shift
* Good and effective communication with all departments across site
* Work collaboratively with the operations team to drive year on year OEE improvement
* Suggest and implement improvements
* Attend tier meetings as appropriate
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years maintenance engineering experience
* Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, drives
* Pneumatic knowledge
* Organisational skills
* Time management skills
* Computer literate
* Effective teamwork
Desirable
* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems
* Knowledge of electrical systems
* Previous experience of working at height/within confined spaces
* Previous experience of forklift operations
* Previous experience of cherry picker operations
Hours Of Work
Flexibility to work 12 hour days & nights including weekends. 9 days off every 4 weeks.
Compensation
Basic Salary: £36,500 plus overtime.
Excellent pension scheme. Employer matches up to 8%.
