About the Role:
* Design and deliver hands-on, engaging lessons across the Design and Technology curriculum, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Graphics
* Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring workshop environment that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills
* Employ diverse assessment methods to track student progress and guide future lesson planning
* Play an active role in shaping the DT curriculum and collaborate on cross-curricular initiatives
* Support students with GCSE coursework and lead extracurricular clubs to extend learning beyond the classroom
The ideal candidate will:
* Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level is preferred but not mandatory
* A passionate subject expert with solid understanding of health and safety protocols, CAD/CAM, and contemporary manufacturing methods
* Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively, stay well-organised, and communicate clearly
* Dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment, prioritising student wellbeing and safeguarding
* Eager to engage in ongoing professional development and actively contribute to team collaboration
