The role
Join the Payroll Service Centre (PSC) supporting Health & Social Care (HSC) organisations across Northern Ireland.
We are seeking a motivated Payroll Officer (Band 3) part time or full time hours to deliver accurate, timely payroll services within the Business Services Organisation (BSO). This is a great opportunity to build your career within a fast-paced, supportive NHS environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in processing payroll and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. Working with HR, payroll and travel systems, you will help maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Process and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Respond to payroll queries from staff and managers
Identify and resolve issues, escalating where required
Support overpayment recovery and data checks
Contribute to service improvements and payroll projects
Maintain compliance with legislation, audit, and governance standards
About You
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) or relevant experience
Experience in payroll, finance, HR, or customer service (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident using Microsoft Office
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
What We Offer
Salary: £12.75 per hour, paid on a weekly basis
22.50 - 37.50 hours per week
