Carpenter - 1st & 2nd Fix (Freelance) Rate: Up to £250 per day (Depending on Experience) Location: King's Cross / Central London Contract: Temporary / Freelance Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting a highly skilled and reliable Carpenter on behalf of a leading Design & Build Residential Renovation Specialist. The Client Our client is a highly respected, design-led contractor specializing in premium residential renovations, bespoke extensions, and high-quality home transformations across the capital. They pride themselves on exacting standards and premium finishes. Due to a busy pipeline of London-based projects, they require a versatile Carpenter to join their site team. The Role You will be working on high-end residential sites across Central London, taking responsibility for both structural timber work and the final, high-quality finishes expected by private clients. Your duties will include: 1st Fix Carpentry: Undertaking structural work including studwork, floor joists, roofing structures, and door frames. 2nd Fix Carpentry: Completing high-quality finishing works such as hanging internal doors, fitting skirting boards, architraves, and installing bespoke joinery or kitchens. Quality Control: Ensuring all timber installations and finishes meet the exceptional standards required for the high-end London residential market. Health & Safety: Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and adhering to site safety protocols. Requirements Essential: A proven track record as a Carpenter with extensive experience in both 1st and 2nd fix on high-end residential or bespoke renovation projects. Essential: You must possess and provide your own full set of professional-grade tools (cordless and hand tools) suitable for both 1st and 2nd fix works. Essential: A valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft preferred). Essential: An eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a focused site team. Desirable: NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent City & Guilds) in Site Carpentry. What's on Offer Rate: Up to £250 per day, dependent on your level of skill and experience.
