Job description: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lift Service Improver to join our Team based out of our Addlestone Office but working in the London and South East Region.The successful candidate will be expected to assist the Lead Engineer with all aspects of the repair business including contractual and chargeable repairs and upgrades. Also to carry out maintenance and safety checks on the service portfolio if required. Travel to the work sites within the Region, is required. You will need to be punctual, enthusiastic and self-motivated to learn. You will also be expected to complete on the job training to achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviours to complete a NVQ level 3 qualification. This is a permanent and full time position working Mon through to Friday 8.30 - 17.00 Mon - Thur, 8.30 - 16.30 Fri. What you'll be doing: Assisting with routine servicing of equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures as required. Assisting with the rectification of faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information. Adhering to the use of a handheld device for reporting work activities and any future technology introduced to enhance real time reporting.
