About the Role
Severn Angels Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support NHS hospitals and care settings across multiple locations. This is a flexible agency role, offering you the opportunity to choose shifts that suit your availability while gaining experience across a range of healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
2. Assisting with mobility and safe moving & handling
3. Monitoring and recording patient observations (e.g. temperature, pulse, respiration)
4. Supporting patients with eating and drinking
5. Providing emotional support and companionship
6. Maintaining a clean and safe care environment
7. Working alongside nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
8. Following care plans and reporting any concerns to senior staff
Requirements
9. Minimum 6 months UK healthcare experience (NHS or care home setting preferred)
10. Right to work in the UK
11. Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
12. Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete)
13. Good communication and teamwork skills
14. A compassionate, patient-focused approach
