Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for guests
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
