We are recruiting experienced Manufacturing Technicians to join a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation in Southampton. These roles support a rangemanufacturing activities, electro‑optic testing, and controlled environment production.
Role Overview
* Depending on experience, responsibilities may include: Precision or micro‑assembly using hand tools, microscopes, and fixtures
* Testing and inspection of electro‑optic or electronic components
* Working with small, delicate, or high‑tolerance parts
* Following detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
* Completing production documentation and reporting issues accurately
* Maintaining clean, safe, and compliant work areas
Requirements
* Previous manufacturing or assembly experience (essential)
* Strong attention to detail and quality focus
* Good manual dexterity and fine motor control
* Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures
* Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Optics, or Semiconductor manufacturing
* Cleanroom or controlled‑environment experience
* SAP ERP knowledge
* Aerospace & Defence manufacturing facility
* Repetitive fine‑motor work and extended periods of sitting or standing
