Join CAE’s Simulator Technician team based in Gatwick, working on some of the most advanced simulators in the world. In this role, the Simulator Technician II will be expected to:
1. Perform complex assignments in office, on‑site, field, and laboratory environments.
2. Support experimental and design‑related projects.
3. Solve a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems issues.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
4. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
5. Assist in diagnosing and correcting simulator system problems.
6. Diagnose and correct complex simulator and system issues.
7. Use the maintenance management system to record and track activities.
8. Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight checks on all simulators.
9. Conduct visual alignments.
10. Run and evaluate FAA ATG/QTG tests.
11. Assist Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
12. Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications.
13. Perform software changes to resolve simulator system issues.
14. Support Group Lead with daily maintenance operations.
15. Comply with CAE’s quality management system.
16. Conduct logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and validation.
Minimum Qualifications
17. Direct experience working as a simulation technician.
18. Strong troubleshooting skills.
19. Fluency in English.
20. Legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
21. Proficiency with a wide range of test equipment.
22. Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least one type of simulator.
23. Ability to perform in‑depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
24. Ability to support Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
25. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
