Customer Facing Technical Manager
Fife
Up to £60,000 + Bonus
Ready for more technical influence? Become the customer-facing technical lead trusted by top retailers.
If you’re ready to move beyond the factory floor and into a role where you’ll shape standards, influence customers and see your impact across the supply chain, this is the step up you’ve been waiting for.
In this role, you will be the technical face for some of the UK’s most respected retailers, guiding outcomes on quality, new product launches and compliance standards.
There is a lot of scope for progression with sideways movements within the group or a succession path up to Head of Technical. You’ll have the chance to grow your influence and responsibilities over time.
The role also offers international exposure, with retail site visits in the UK and seasonal travel to Spain, helping you broaden your expertise in fresh produce.
Teams are nurtured and developed to achieve excellence in a supportive environment where modern facilities and sustainable practices underpin everyday work. This is an environment where you’ll be stretched and supported in equal measure.
The Business
This is one of the UK’s leading fresh produce groups, supplying high-quality produce to many of the country’s best-known retailers.
Family-owned and proud of its roots, the business has grown into a £170m group with a modern footprint in Fife, England and Spain and this growth shows no sign of slowing down!
That scale brings the capacity and flexibility to supply prepared and fresh produce all year round, while a focus on food safety, quality and environmental care has secured long-term partnerships with major retailers.
With no external shareholder pressure and being a value led organisation, you’ll benefit from a business that reinvests profits back into people, facilities and sustainability. With sites constantly being upgraded to ensure high quality is maintained.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong technical background in food manufacturing, ideally with experience in fresh or chilled categories.
Your strong technical background will include a solid grounding in food safety and quality systems, including BRC and UK retailer Codes of Practice. Experience of interacting with retailers would be beneficial.
You’ll be confident in ensuring audit readiness, managing product compliance, overseeing launches and change control processes.
Alongside this, you’ll have a proven ability to carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain the highest standards.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and quality/specification systems, will also be essential.
