Area Sales Manager – Northern Region (Covering Northern Ireland, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, and Donegal)
A leading timber processor supplying high-quality products across Ireland and the UK is expanding its sales team and seeking a motivated Area Sales Manager for the Northern region of Ireland. With a strong growth story and ambitious plans, this company is a recognised player in the Green Tech and construction materials industry. It serves sectors including construction, pallet wood, fencing, timber frame homes, and engineered roof trusses.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Group Sales, this field-based position is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing sales team. The successful candidate will manage existing accounts and develop new business in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow an established customer base while generating new leads and opportunities
* Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts and buying groups
* Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance milestones
* Deliver high levels of customer service and account management
* Maintain accurate records and updates via CRM tools
* Plan and execute effective sales journeys and territory coverage
Requirements:
* Ambitious, self-driven, and enthusiastic sales professional
* Proven track record in selling timber or building products to builders merchants
* Experience working with builders’ merchants or construction-related clients is a strong advantage
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Strong planning, organisation, and territory management capabilities
