Shipwright – Luxury Yacht Refit & Repair Gosport, Hampshire Full-Time, Permanent Competitive salary (DOE) About the Role We’re looking for a skilled Shipwright to join a highly regarded yacht refit and repair specialist based in Gosport. This is a hands-on role working on prestigious sailing and motor yachts, delivering high-quality craftsmanship across a wide range of refit, repair, and maintenance projects. You’ll be part of a close-knit, experienced team working on some of the most respected yacht brands in the industry, where attention to detail and pride in workmanship are absolutely key. Key Responsibilities Carry out structural and cosmetic shipwright work on luxury yachts Perform joinery, fitting, and repair tasks across interiors and exteriors Install, repair, and refurbish components including bulkheads, panels, hatches, and fittings Teak deck repairs, re-caulking, and installation work Laminating, bonding, varnishing, and general composite/wood repairs Interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications Support refit and maintenance projects from start to finish Ensure all work meets high-quality marine and safety standardsAbout You Proven experience as a Shipwright or Boatbuilder within the marine industry Strong woodworking and joinery skills essential Confident working with a range of materials including timber and composites Experience within yacht refit, repair, or high-end boatbuilding preferred Ability to read technical drawings and work independently or as part of a team High attention to detail with a strong pride in craftsmanship Familiarity with luxury yacht standards (Oyster, Swan, etc.) is advantageousWhat’s on Offer Work on high-value, prestige yachts in a specialist refit environment Supportive, skilled team with strong industry reputation Variety of projects – no two days the same Long-term stability with ongoing project pipeline Opportunity to develop skills across multiple aspects of yacht refitIf this sounds like something you would be interested in then please call Sarah on (phone number removed) Marine Resources Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent and fixed term contract recruitment and as a recruitment business for the supply of contract workers.
