The Role
As an Import Agent, you'll sit at the heart of Travis Perkins Group's supply chain, processing import and export declarations through our in-house system, managing customs warehouse transactions, and ensuring every shipment clears compliantly and on time. You'll be a key link between our category teams, supply chain, warehouse operations, and external freight forwarders.
What you'll be doing:
1. Processing and managing import documentation and declarations through our in-house system
2. Completing customs warehouse import transactions for group shipments
3. Collaborating with category, supply chain, warehouse and branch teams to resolve issues quickly
4. Managing relationships with freight forwarders to keep clearances running smoothly
5. Maintaining accurate records of all cleared shipments and updating internal reporting
6. Ensuring ongoing compliance with HMRC requirements and correct commodity classifications
What We're Looking For
7. 1+ year completing import/export declarations
8. Experience in air, road or ocean movements
9. Strong administrative and communication skills
10. Proficiency in MS Office / Excel
11. Excellent attention to detail
