Health & Safety ManagerMilton KeynesUp to £65,000 + Company Car or Allowance + 24 Days Holiday + Pension4 days on site, 1 day in the Milton Keynes officeA growing multi-disciplinary contractor with a strong reputation in commercial offices, industrial projects, refurbishment, FM and M&E services is looking for a hands-on Health and Safety Manager. The business is expanding rapidly, supported by long-term clients, a healthy pipeline and a well-structured senior team. All construction backgrounds will be considered.The Role The Health and Safety Manager will lead and develop HSE standards across construction, M&E, small works and refurbishment schemes. The position is based in Milton Keynes with regular travel to live sites, supporting directors, project managers, engineers and site teams.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Health and Safety Policy in line with HSWA 1974, CDM 2015, EaWR 1989, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and Working at Height RegulationsEnsure compliance with ISO 45001 and client safety requirementsProvide specialist advice to directors, project teams and site staffLead accident and incident investigations including root cause analysis and RIDDOR reportingPrepare and review RAMS for construction, M&E and small worksCarry out site inspections and audits, ensuring actions are completedSupport pre-construction planning and design risk assessmentsLiaise with Principal Contractors and Principal DesignersOversee subcontractor safety including competency checks and inductionsDeliver toolbox talks, inductions and H&S trainingPromote a positive safety culture across commercial and industrial sitesMaintain training matrices, accident logs, inspection reports and compliance registersProduce monthly reports including KPIs, trends and improvement actionsManage H&S input for tenders and PQQsRequirements NEBOSH National Diploma or NEBOSH General or Construction CertificateStrong knowledge of UK H&S legislation for construction and M&EExperience as a Health and Safety Manager or Advisor in construction or engineeringStrong understanding of CDM 2015Experience preparing RAMS, conducting audits and leading investigationsConfident communicator with the ability to influence site teamsFull UK driving licencePackage Up to £65,000Company car or car allowance24 days holiday plus bank holidaysPensionLong-term development opportunitiesStable and supportive working environment with a strong pipeline of workTPBN1_UKTJ
