Production Supervisor Salary: £36,660 per annum Location: Dudley Permanent | Days SourceCo are recruiting a Production Supervisor to oversee a CNC machining department within a long established UK manufacturing business specialising in bespoke, heavy duty engineered components. This is a hands on supervisory role, suited to someone with a strong CNC machining background who enjoys problem solving, supporting operators, and taking ownership of complex, low volume work. The Role: Youll be responsible for the day to day supervision of the CNC department, ensuring work is planned, sequenced, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. Key responsibilities include: Supervising and supporting CNC operators across turning and milling operations Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings Planning machining centres, job sequences, and workflows Troubleshooting issues relating to parts, machines, tooling, and processes Acting as the technical go-to on the shop floor Working closely with management to resolve production challenges Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and output This is not an automotive production line environment. The work is bespoke, varied, and technically demanding, with minimal pre set processes youll be expected to think on your feet and find solutions. What Were Looking For: Minimum 3 years technical machining experience (ideally apprentice-trained) Strong understanding of engineering drawings Experience working with lathes and milling machines Desired - Background in a bespoke or heavy engineering workshop (rather than high volume production environment) Confident communicator, able to support and guide operators Previous supervisory or team leading experience is preferred but not essential Why Apply?
