This is a home-based Field Service Engineer role, covering the Birmingham region, where you’ll take ownership of your day, travelling directly from home to customer sites. You’ll be working on a range of high-value plant machinery, playing a key role in keeping essential equipment operational. With a team of just 12 engineers nationwide, this is a close-knit, specialist environment where your contribution is visible and valued.The Role
* Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant equipment
* Working across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Managing your own workload – typically 1 to 3 jobs per day depending on complexity
* Attending customer sites including quarries, construction, and infrastructure projects
* Occasional overnight stays as required
* Ensuring high standards of safety and customer service at all times
What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
* Valid CSCS Card
* Proven experience in fault finding and maintenance
* Strong knowledge of:
o Hydraulics
o Electrical systems
o Mechanical systems
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Quarry Passport
* HS2 Site Card
