As a key part of Birmingham’s City Council housing service, you will play an essential role in ensuring that blocks, estates, and neighbourhoods are clean, safe and well maintained. We support the City’smitment to creating cleaner and greenermunities for all residents. As a homeowner, we also carry important legal responsibilities for the cleaning, maintenance and safety of multi‑storey residential blocks—services funded through tenant service charges. Our Caretaking service is central to delivering thismitment.
Your new role
We are recruiting multiple Estate Caretaking Team Managers across several Birmingham locations, including North Birmingham, Acocks Green, Shard End, Highgate, South Birmingham, Central North and East Area.
In this role, you will:
-Lead, motivate and support a team of Estate Caretakers.
-Deliver high‑quality cleaning services across both high‑rise and low‑rise blocks.
-Ensuremunal areas remain safe, clean and in good repair.
-Take a proactive approach to Fire Safety, ensuringpliance and hazard prevention.
-Carry out inspections, identify issues, and organise timely repairs or maintenance actions.
-Contribute to improving the living environment and resident satisfaction across your allocated area.
