This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified clinician to join our expanding Acute Medicine service at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The postholder will provide senior clinical leadership across the 27 inpatient beds on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Urgent Medical Assessment Centre (UMAC), as well as supporting post-take review of medical patients within the Emergency Department.
You will be part of a committed team of Acute Medicine Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team based at Arrowe Park Hospital. The Acute Medicine footprint is currently under review as part of a major reconfiguration, making this a particularly exciting time to join and contribute to the development of a redeveloping and evolving service. The role also offers the opportunity to support the department’s research agenda and to play a key part in shaping the future of our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) model, including integration with system partners.
Applicants must be fully registered on the UK General Medical Council’s Specialist Register, or within six months of achieving CCT/CESR at the time of interview.
