Job Description
Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, the Factory Manager will take full responsibility for site performance, strategic direction and leadership. This role will play a pivotal part in driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, team engagement and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Key Responsibilities
3. Deliver consistent performance against site KPIs, customer requirements, and operational targets
4. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring teams are empowered and performance‑focused
5. Own and manage site budgets, identifying cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities
6. Implement, refine and embed robust operational processes
7. Lead and execute Capex projects and future site development plans
8. Champion the Health, Safety & Environmental agenda, ensuring all legal, internal and external standards are met
9. Provide inspirational leadership across Production, Engineering and Distribution, promoting collaboration, accountability and high performance
The Successful Applicant
The successful Factory Manager will demonstrate:
10. Proven leadership experience within FMCG manufacturing (food manufacturing experience advantageous)
11. Strong background in continuous improvement, with the ability to identify and implement operational enhancements
12. Sound financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and cost‑control initiatives
13. Excellent knowledge of HACCP, BRC, HSE and food safety standards
14. A results‑driven mindset, complemented by a hands‑on, visible leadership style
15. Engineering or technical background (desirable)
