£60k – £70k + car allowance + benefits DOE

Purpose of the Role
Manage temporary works procedures, Design and/or design checking, Other design and temporary works tasks.
Role Accountabilities
* Detail design of temporary works or simple permanent works
* Management of internal and external designers
* Management of temporary works procedures
* Independent technical review, HAZARD and Risk Review
* Implement necessary Sellafield Ltd procedures
* Liaison with Principal Designer and Designers
* Learning from Experience, Safety in Design and best practice
* Manage change control procedures
* Internal and external progress reporting
* Participation in Temporary Works Forum and other related organisations
Required Project Knowledge
* Understanding and working knowledge of construction methods, materials and design processes
* 12 months experience completing designs within a consultancy or temporary works design department
* Member of an appropriate professional institution e.g. MICE.
* Ability to deputise for the Principal Engineer if required.
* Understands the Principal Designer Duties including ERIC
