Overview
Join the Food Hygiene Operatives (Nights) role at PrepWorld. We are a Fruit Packing Factory. As a Hygiene Operative, you will help ensure that all machines and the facility meet strict standards of hygiene at all times, working as part of the team. You will ensure that all designated areas are clean and tidy in accordance with cleaning procedures.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks and completing required paperwork.
* Ensuring PPE dispensers are filled.
* Cleaning production lines and processing equipment to meet required standards, with quality measured through testing of samples.
* Complying with company procedures for Hygiene, Food Safety and Health & Safety.
* Ensuring cleaning materials and PPE are functioning correctly at all times.
* Reporting incidents or environmental concerns to the Team Leader/Section Leader.
* Storing cleaning materials properly in the Hygiene store room and maintaining equipment in good condition.
* Reporting damage to cleaning equipment or PPE to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
* Turning off and cleaning machinery in a safe and proper manner.
* Working in cold storage conditions and performing some manual handling.
* Maintaining alertness when working near forklifts and moving machinery.
Who we are looking for
* Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts.
* Willing and able to clean in sometimes wet and cold environments; fleeces and PPE provided.
* Willing and able to commute to the location for the hours of work.
* Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
* Good level of English communication skills (speaking, writing and listening).

Hours and pay
Days of work: Wednesday to Saturday Nights (alternates may include Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday; exact night discussed at interview).
Hours: 18:00 – 06:00 (Night shift).
Pay: starting at £12.91 per hour (Level 1), rising to £13.27 per hour (Level 2) and £13.89 per hour (Level 3) following a training and development plan.
