Your opportunity: Glyn School’s SEND department plays an important role throughout the school. We are an enthusiastic and supportive department, who are committed to providing high quality teaching and support to our students. We are looking to appoint a SEND Tutor to design and deliver targeted interventions for secondary students with a range of special educational needs including, but not limited to, social, emotional, and mental health needs, literacy difficulties, and self-regulation challenges. The role includes planning and leading individual and small group sessions that support students’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and overall engagement with learning. What we are looking for: The successful candidate will need to: Have experience working in an educational environment with secondary-aged students, particularly those with SEND. Have strong knowledge of a wide range of SEND profiles, including SEMH, literacy difficulties, and neurodivergent conditions. Have proven ability to deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions. Be passionate about all students achieving their potential Be a pro-active member of the team with a can-do approach. Be flexible and committed. Be passionate about the students’ learning and welfare. Be keen to be part of the wider school community.
