Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end design projects for new switching products and enhancements to the existing portfolio, including 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings, and complex product assemblies.
* Provide technical direction to engineers and cross-functional teams both locally and internationally, collaborating closely with Simulation, Data Management, Technical Support, Product Management, and other specialist groups.
* Partner with the manufacturing plant to ensure designs are production-ready, support industrialisation activities, and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
* Own all supporting engineering documentation, including FMEAs, technical files, and Engineering Change Notices, ensuring compliance and robust design governance.
* Develop and execute test plans aligned to relevant standards, working with internal and external laboratories to validate performance and reliability.
* Drive innovation and intellectual property creation, contributing to the long-term competitiveness and differentiation of the product range.
Qualifications
* Engineering Degree (electrical/mechanical/mechatronic)
* 4+ years in design/development of industrial products
Technical Skills
* 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
* Project management
* Ideally some knowledge of electrical products but not essential
* Problem solving, team player, self-motivated
