The Governors of Middlemarch School are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to join our school from January 2026 (with a transition period beforehand if possible). With recent experience of teaching pupils in Key Stage 1 or 2, you will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and an understanding of how to ensure all pupils make good progress.
This is exciting opportunity to join us as part of a small, supportive team of education professionals. An enthusiastic, creative and forward-thinking teacher, you will be able to lead and motivate others. Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and resilience are essential, alongside an ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff. Ideally you will be ready to lead a subject area.
We are a happy and welcoming school with a recent ‘Good’ Ofsted report (April 2025). You will be part of a strong and dedicated team who are committed to providing the best for all pupils, with a supportive Governing Body and support from external agencies when you need it.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and parents to share that commitment.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List check and right to work in the UK.
Following the shortlisting process, Middlemarch School will carry out online searches as part of our due diligence and explore any issues at interview. This will only be carried out by the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.
