Campus Support Security Officer
Hull
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £23,840 FTE per annum
Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
Responsibilities
* Locks and unlocks buildings/areas following security procedures; act as key holder for college premises.
* Carry out static guard and mobile patrol duties in and around the College estate.
* Ensure safe evacuation on fire alarm activation; assist Duty Manager and test fire alarms and safety systems.
* Monitor and manage car parking, issue permits, and issue penalty notices.
* Identify and report faults with equipment and premises to the premises helpdesk.
* Provide porterage duties, moving equipment, furniture and other items; courier services including distribution and returns of parcels and goods.
* Assist other estates and premises staff with tasks as required to support the operation of the college.
* Staff the control room, monitor operations and CCTV systems; investigate and report incidents and review CCTV recordings.
* Provide a cash in transit service.
* Flexibility to attend College premises in the evenings, weekends, and provide emergency cover on a rota basis.
Qualifications
* English/Math’s at Level 2 or equivalent.
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training to qualify as first aider.
* SIA License or working towards one (Manneding and CCTV).
* Experience in security.
* Experience of working in a caretaking / building facilities / pottering role.
* Able to communicate and work professionally with internal and external customers of the College.
* Ability to prioritize workload and organize work schedule.
