Senior Business Development Manager – Open Banking / API Solutions

Are you an expert in Open Banking/API-led partnerships, ready to shape a new commercial function around your strengths?
We're supporting an established fintech that's pioneering Open Banking connectivity and data aggregation across Europe. The team is expanding its business development division and looking for a commercially minded individual to help drive growth across fintech, banking, and financial services clients.
This is a strategic, senior position designed with flexibility in mind - the company is open to shaping the role and commission structure around the right person.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute new business strategies across Open Banking and API-driven solutions.
* Identify and convert enterprise opportunities within fintechs, lenders, and payment institutions.
* Manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting to contract negotiation and partnership growth.
* Collaborate closely with product and tech teams to tailor API solutions for client needs.
* Represent the brand at industry events, building strategic partnerships across Europe.
What We're Looking For
* Proven track record of selling SaaS, payments, or data/API solutions in the financial services / fintech ecosystem.
* Strong understanding of Open Banking, embedded finance, or account connectivity.
* Excellent relationship-building and consultative sales skills.
* A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to help shape a scaling commercial function.
