Our installers are at the forefront of this clean energy transformation.We now have an opening for an experienced Heat Pump Trainer to develop and deliver state-of-the-art training programs supporting our heat pump installation teams across the UK. You’ll combine technical expertise with stellar presentation abilities to coach crews on latest best practices.In this role, you'll deliver classroom and hands-on training for heat pump products, covering engineering theory, pre-installation surveys, hydraulic system design, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and more. Programs will equip teams with the confidence, competence and customer service skills for first-class deployments.This is a key role for us at Octopus - as we know that opportunity to grow, upskill and develop is one of the most important things to our teams. What you'll do
1. Deliver technical classroom training on heat pump systems
2. Develop practical, hands-on workshops
3. Create presentations, training manuals integrating latest techniques
4. Stay on top of industry standards and new product features
5. Assess teams’ proficiencies and upgrade skills accordingly
6. Gather feedback to enhance training experiences
What you'll need (the essentials)
7. Industry experience installing/servicing heat pumps
8. MCS certification for heat pump installation
9. Additional qualification in domestic heat pump systems
10. Strong presentation abilities - engage diverse learners
11. Exceptional technical knowledge of products/standards

13. Passion for coaching and capabilities building
14. Organised, analytical and creative approach
15. Drive to lead in sustainable energy education
Desirable but not essential
16. Specific experience with domestic air source heat pumps
