Branch Manager / Engineering Manager / Site Manager required to join a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, specialising in fluid power and hydraulics.
The successful Workshop Manager / Engineering Manager / Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations and leading a multidisciplinary team. The role will focus on driving team performance, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, and delivering high-quality hydraulic products from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
The Ideal Branch Manager / Engineering Manager / Site Manager will have a strong background in hydraulics and fluid power. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing workshop processes, problem-solving, and ensuring the smooth transition from design to production.
Package:
• £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Branch Manager / Engineering Manager / Site Manager Role:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of hydraulic designers, engineers, and operational staff.
• Oversee workshop daily operations, ensuring job scheduling, parts availability, and smooth project delivery.
• Manage job progress and quotations.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to streamline operations and ensure product delivery.
• Ensure compliance with H&S requirements through occasional site visits and customer interactions.
• Site based at the Houohton le Spring, (max 1-hour commute).
Branch Manager / Engineering Manager / Site Manager Requirements:
• 3–5 years of management experience in a hydraulic engineering or fluid power environment.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and the Flick system.
• Experience in managing workshop operations, leading teams, and optimising workshop performance.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement high-quality standards.
• Mechanical engineering background with a strong focus on hydraulics.
• Ability to commute to the Houghton le Spring site 5 days a week
